Mantidactylus is a frog genus in the family Mantellidae. These frogs live only in Madagascar and Mayotte.[1] These frogs are usually less brightly colored than their relatives in Mantella.

In recent works, Blommersia, Boehmantis, Gephyromantis, Guibemantis, Spinomantis and Wakea are often separated from Mantidactylus.

Species

New species continue to be described at a rate of a few per year on average. Recently described species are often not formally placed in Mantidactylus; this may eventually be done but until then, names like "Mantidactylus azzurrae" for example are nomina nuda and must not be used.

Mantidactylus peraccae, one of the species now often placed in Spinomantis
