Manta.com is an online small business service directory and search engine which provides small businesses with networking information. Their corporate slogan is Where Small Business Grows. Manta, according to their website, helps small businesses profit, connect and grow through the largest online community dedicated entirely to small business. Millions of people come to Manta each day to buy from, partner with and connect to companies. Manta sponsors, and is involved in, small business events and trade shows across the United States. The company CEO is John Swanciger.

Manta reports 20 million unique visitors per month and over 1,000 new business owner members every day. Because of this growth, Manta has been named in the Top 100 Most Valuable Private Internet Companies by Henry Blodget's Silicon Alley Insider for the past two years.^[1]

Manta was incorporated in 2005 and has raised $61 million in funding, mostly from Norwest Venture Partners.^[2]
