Career
Manjari Fadnis was first seen on Indian Television on the Second Season of the Indian version of the International Reality show Popstars which was aired on Channel [v] India. She was one of the participants who was one of the final 8. Only 4 made it to form the band Aasma. Manjiri Fadnis started her career with Rok Sako To Rok Lo in 2004, but her big break was Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) as the lead actor's girlfriend. Earlier she was part of the National Film Award-winning Bengali feature film Faltu and the highly unsuccessful Mumbai Salsa.
In 2008, her Telugu debut film Siddu From Srikakulam released, following which her first Tamil film Muthirai got released. Both performed poorly at the box office. Notably, she had sung a song under the direction of Yuvan Shankar Raja for Muthirai.[2][3]
In September 2009 she signed to appear in a series of Onida television commercials. Her 2010 releases were the Telugu films Inkosaari and Shubhapradham. She then starred in the Walt Disney-produced superhero film Zokkomon, starring Darsheel Safary in the titular role. In 2011, she also appeared in an ad film for iball brand of pen drives. Her upcoming films are Mr. Fraud, which will mark her Malayalam debut and Wah Taj.[4]
Personal life
Manjari was born in Mumbai, but grew-up in Pune. She is from a completely non-filmy background — her father was in the Indian Army and she has traveled throughout the country because of his transferable job. She is a typical Maharashtrian girl from Pune who never expected to make a career in films.[5]
