Mangala Yapa is the Secretary General & Chief Executive Officer of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. He was the former Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Colombo Dockyard.

Early life and education

Mangala was born in Badulla and attended Muththettuwegama Vidyalaya, Badulla, Kandegedara Maha Vidyalaya, Badulla and later for secondary education attended Nalanda College Colombo.

He holds a MSc in Ship Building from Astrakhan State University Russia. Mangala is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, Member of Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST-UK). He is also obtained a Master of Business Administration from University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
