Maney Hill Primary School

Maney Hill Primary School is a one form entry primary school located on Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield.[1] The school has a track record of high standards of achievement as well as creating a strong community for pupils, staff, parents and friends of the school. At the end of Year 6 the pupils go on to a range of secondary schools including maintained schools, academies, faith schools, grammar schools and selective private schools. [2] The Maney Hill School Association has been raising money for the school for over 25 years. They have teamed up with easyfundraising.org.uk to make fundraising more efficient.[3]

Architecture

The school is one storey, with the classrooms leading off a large main hall. There is an entrance for visitors which leads into the corridor, the main hall and the staff room. Connected to the main hall is the kitchen where fresh meals are cooked for most of the children. There are two playgrounds, one for years Reception to Year 2, and a larger one for Years 3 to 6. The most recent Ofsted assessment rated the school as Outstanding.

Nursery

Within the school grounds there is a private nursery located in a separate building. It is called lolly-pops. It caters for pre-school children and also provides an after-school club. It has enjoyed continuous use throughout the school's history.
