Manel Loureiro

Manel Loureiro (born Pontevedra, Spain) is an author. He studied law at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.

Background

After graduation, he worked in television, both on-screen (appearing on Television de Galicia) and behind-the-scenes as a writer. Apocalypse Z, his first novel, began as a popular blog before its publication, and eventually become a bestseller in several countries, including Spain, Italy, and Brazil. A film adaptation has also been proposed.[1]

Loureiro has written three novels in the Apocalypse Z series; the second is Los días oscuros (2010),[2] and the third La ira de los justos (2011). Books two and three have been translated into Italian and Portuguese, and AmazonCrossing published book one in English, in October 2012. Books two and three were translated into English in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Books one and two were translated into Galician in 2013 and 2014, respectively.[3]

Personal life

Loureiro currently resides in Pontevedra, Spain, where he is a writer full time.
