(as the name represents "Mun" which is the unit of mass equals 50 kilogram and "Dany" is taken from "Darai" unit of mass equals 5 kilogram.)is a town and union council in Charsadda District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.[1] Mandani is located at 34°20'46N 71°47'10E and has an altitude of 376 meters (1236 feet).


A myth: it is believed about Mandani that here a farmer sowed 50kg of seed of wheat and it yielded one 5kg of grain which typically reflects the idea of barren nature of this area so its name roots in this concept. In fact it is a misconception because it is the most fertile and prosperous union council of District Charsadda.

Early settler and Demography: In the beginning few tribes of yousafzai and mohmand arrived and started development the aride non agricultural land. The notable one from yousafzai tribe whose fore ancestors stepped in mandani land was "maulana Fazal e Ahmed " known as Mavlavi of mandani.

Mavlavi of mandani was highly regarded due his social reforms, educational services and justice based leader ship rendered at the very stage of settlement.

Later on, different ethnic background tribes descended from adjoining areas of tribal agencies. Population expectancy is on raise due to fertil land and strategic location in respect to surrounding areas. The main bazaar which located in the center of adjuvant population, is very unique in its nature having rectangular shape and each side is linking the village to tangi in west, charsadda via umerzai in the south , the ancient takht bhai in east and harichand in north. The main root joins peshawar to the northern part of KPK in shortest possible root .

Economy and occupation of the dwellers The town is mostly familiar for agricultural products; sugar can, tobacco, wheat, maize and all kind of vegetables. Some indigenous people's have small cabin shops which makes the beauty of village bazaar more glamorous. since most of business are run by surrounding dwellers while the indigenous mandani mass are peasant and lead simple livelihood on farming.

Mandani has been a great seat of different cultures and of great political importance. It contains about 6 private colleges and about eight(8) schools.

Hira Model High School Mandani is considered as the best school in Mandani.

Mandani has been a great seat of the Hindus empire before the partition of Sub-Continent.
