Story
Gameplay
The Mega Drive version of Makai Kara no Tenkosei is a side-scrolling platform game in which the player take the role of a Yoko, who is armed with a sword. If the attack button is held, Yoko's sword will create a protective shield around her, which can also be thrown at enemies. However, projectiles can break their way through the shield if it receives consistent damage from projectiles. Players are given a life bar. When Yohko receives damage, the life bar drops, then slowly regenerates. There are intro and cut scenes between levels.
PC Engine CD version is a digital comic / sound novel.
