Malus toringoides is a species in the family Rosaceae, named Cut-leaf crabapple. It is a wild apple tree, sometimes used as a root stock in apple breeding. It grows in mountains in China, in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Sichuan. Malus toringoides is a naturally occurring hybrid species with multiple ploidy levels.[1]
