Malachy of Ireland

Friar Malachy of Ireland, fl. 13th/14th century?

Malachy is held by Mario Esposito to be the author of Venenum (Poison), a moral treatise, usually attributed to Robert Grosseteste. It is stated as having been written "for the instruction of simple men who have to teach the people".

Malachy is thought to be identical with the franciscan, Malachy of Limerick, and unsuccessful candidate for the Archbishop of Tuam in 1280.
