Makali Aizue (born 30 December 1977 in Goroka, Papua New Guinea) is a professional Papua New Guinean rugby league player who plays at Prop. He is currently with the Dewsbury Rams.
Personal life
Makali Aizue is from Bundi Area in Madang Province. His home in Bundi area is now the location of a world class Ramu Nickel project. For the 2013 season, Aizue is playing for Dewsbury Rams RLFC in Yorkshire, UK
Club career
Lae Bombers
Aizue started playing for the Goroka Lahanis from 1998 to 2006. He competed in over 140 games.
Hull Kingston Rovers
Aizue joined Hull KR in 2007 after leaving the Lahanis. He played for 43 games over 4 years.
Halifax RLFC
Aizue went to Halifax in 2011 and became the first prop choice for the club. He left the club in September 2012.
Dewsbury Rams RLFC
Aizue joined Dewsbury Rams in 2013 till the end of 2015.
Representative career
Papua New Guinea
Aizue was selected in the PNG training squad [1] and eventually for the PNG squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.[2] He has also represented Papua New Guinea in rugby union in the past.[3]
He played for Papua New Guinea in the 2010 Four Nations tournament. Makali Aizue now plays for Dewsbury R.L.F.C. as of the 2013 season.
