Main Post Office on Main Street

Main Street is a major north-south street in Queens, New York City. It extends from Queens Boulevard in Briarwood to Northern Boulevard in Flushing.

Public transportation includes the Q44, Q20A and Q20B buses running the entire length of the street.[1] The E F and 7 <7> trains all serve Main Street, as do many buses at the Flushing – Main Street station and at other major streets along the route.

Educational institutions include Flushing High School located a few blocks away. John Bowne High School, Queens College and the large Flushing branch of Queens Library are on Main Street. Other landmarks in Flushing include St George's Church and Queens Botanical Garden.

There are four other Main Streets in the four other boroughs of New York City – the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island – though Queens's Main Street is the most notable.[2]
