Mail-List.com is an electronic mailing list management system that is be used for email discussion groups.[2]

History

Mail-List.com was started in 1995 and was initially based on Smartlist, an early open-source mailing list management (MLM) software. Since then it has been extensively updated and customized and runs entirely in the Amazon Cloud.[3]

Product features

Mail-List.com allows moderation capabilities, at either the group or individual level. The Mobile First formatting option converts emails to plain text and cleans up top post replies, disclaimers and ads to make the email concise and readable on smart phones. In addition, one can add phone numbers to the list, and those people will receive SMS text messages, instead of emails.[4]

It also allows to import an MBOX file of past email messages to add any historical messages. Mail-List.com provides real time view of all delivery logs, an inbox monitor system for the large ISP's, and a Bounce Re-Delivery System that will analyze rejection notices for being called spam, and resend just those messages.[5]

Trademark

Mail-List was registered as a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1995, for the category of electronic mail services rendered over a global communications network.[6]
