Mahwah Assembly
This facility is a former Ford manufacturing plant in Mahwah, New Jersey, just outside New York City. It was located behind the Sheraton Mahwah, and occupied over 50 acres when it was open. The factory began operations in 1950 building the 1949 Ford and was closed in 1980. It was one of two manufacturing facilities in New Jersey and was built two years after the Edison Assembly plant was opened in 1948.
