Maheshwari Public School (MPS) is an all boys CBSE affiliated school located in Jawahar Nagar area in Jaipur city. It is governed by the Education Committee of The Maheshwari Samaj (society), Jaipur. At present, Dr. Ashok Vaid is officiating principal of the school. [1]
History
Maheshwari Public School, a name in the zenith of education, initiated its journey in July 1997 and established a firm foot as an independent institution in July 1978. Governed by the ECMS, it stands firm as one of the renowned English medium school for boys in Rajasthan. December 1996, marks its importance in the history of MPS, as on this day a new sapling was sown at sector-4, Jawahar Nagar, which now stands as a strong, protective harbor giving gratification of education and moral values to its students. Being a proud part of the ECMS, MPS has evolved over a period of time, developed traditions, practices and working ethos. The track record of the ECMS shows that MPS has proved itself to be worthy of the confidence that the founding fathers had reposed in it and now it can take justifiable pride in all its achievements.

Examination & Marking
As per the CBSE guidelines, the school follows the system of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for class I to X and grades are allotted in place of marks. The CCE is spread over two Terms, one April to September and other from October to March. The CCE is intended to provide a holistic profile of the student through scholastic and co-scholastic areas spread over the two terms. Each term will consist of two formative assessments and one summative assessment for evaluation of scholastic areas. The student behaviour, attitude, participation in extra and co-curricular activities and community service will be assesses under the co-scholastic areas. The school gives due weightage to attendance, homework, class work, project work and practical work. A cumulative record of each student is maintained. As per CBSE for classes I to X,a nine point grading scale is followed in the scholastic areas and the minimum grade required in each subject is D. If a student scores E1 or E2 grade in any subject, he will have to improve upon his grade for promotion to the next higher class. As per CBSE, a student can get supplementary in 2 subjects in classes IX and X and 1 subject in class XI. For class XI, there will be First term Exam, two Unit Tests, two Assessment Tests. For class XII, there will be First term Exam, two Unit Tests, one Assessment Test and Pre-Board Exam. A minimum pass percentage for classes XI and XII is 33% as per CBSE guidelines. Attendance in all Exams and Tests is compulsory.
No student shall be allowed to appear in the Final Examination unless all dues have been cleared off.
Breach of Examination rules is punishable by expulsion from the examination room or if discovered subsequently, cancellation of the paperin all cases, the decision of the Principal shall be final. For reasons such as insufficient attendance, indiscipline and serious misconduct, a student may be debarred from examination or may not be granted renewal of admission.
Activity Clubs
The true spirit of leadership and team unity is revealed and reflected through different spheres of club activities. Multifarious clubs reflect to various dogmas, personas and behavioural patterns of the erudite and skilled children. Under the keen guidance of the club incharges, the students learn, interact and show out their calibre and inner potentialities.
The galore of activities is bifurcated into clubs like:
1. ENGLISH CLUB: Dealing with a better learning and practicing of English literature and language this club aims at developing better communication skills of children through various activities. Role plays, extempore, debates, story writing, newspaper articles, mock sessions for interviews etc. are few elements of its bunch of activities.
2. HINDI CLUB: The mother tongue needs to be preserved, nurtured and aggravated. Students are made aware of every little essential of Hindi as literature. Reciting poems, reading and describing Hindi epics and books amalgamates the club as a whole.
3. READER’S CLUB: a good reading habit aggravates the spirit and intellect. This club aims at encouraging students to read good literature of all kind. Books, magazines, newsletters etc. are read and the students brief them in the morning assembly.
4. QUIZ CLUB: knowledge has no bars. Be it school, subject or politics or world around. In today’s scenario all round knowledge is necessary. The Quiz club aims at delving deep into every new from every corner of the world. The information gathered through books, news, internet etc. are then shared in amongst the students and quizzes are held on different topics. This club also includes students of classes XI and XII.
5. INTERACT CLUB: Promising for a philanthropic society, this club works for the upliftment and betterment of the poor, needy and backward brethrens of our society. Blood donation camps, distributing stationery, clothes, food and other required items to government school, slums etc.; spreading awareness amongst masses of “a better society for a better tomorrow” are some deeds of benevolence to name a few.
6. HEALTH CLUB: ‘Health is Wealth’, owing to this very truth of life, this club enlightens students about a better living through good habits. Te students are made aware about Yoga, Meditation, eating habits, proper diet etc. they are also made aware of general first aid to be given for different causes.
7. ECO CLUB: With the desideratum to inculcate eco friendly habits among the senior most students of this institution, ECO Club helps in developing their fondness for the Mother Nature.
8. SCIENCE CLUB: For making accessible, exclusive and effective knowledge in the field of Science, young scientists of school participate in many activities comprehensive of data collection on problems of the city, poster making and much more.
9. MATHS CLUB: Yearning to develop a calculative approach among the students and uprooting the fear of tricky calculations, Maths club activities comprise of quizzes, arithmetic and geometric progression, maze and cryptogram. This all helps the students to arouse their interest for the subject.

12. MUSIC CLUB: This club is dedicated to the promotion of Indian Classical Music and endeavors to encourage the appreciation of this traditional form of music among youth in general. Music Club has been bringing quality Indian Classical music to the MPSITES.
13. DRAMATICS CLUB: Passion for the acting is extremely important for the sustenance of society as a whole. This club aims at enriching the young talent of the school and refines the talent in the field of dramatization.
14. HERITAGE CLUB: In an effort to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among the students, The Heritage Club provides training and resources to teachers with the motive of creating awareness and participation in heritage related activities among the students.
15. CULTURE CLUB: The delicacy of Rich Indian culture is here very well equipped in the young minds. Conducting many activities, this club aims at providing expertise about the subtlety.
17. FRENCH CLUB: French Club offers students the opportunity to speak French and participate in cultural events and other French oriented activities. The Club welcomes all those interested in speaking French and in learning about French and Francophone cultures.
18. BRITISH COUNCIL CLUB:Taking the school to the new paths of internationalism, British Council aims at establishing an international dimension in the curriculum to help young learners become effective global citizens.
