Mahdia Governorate (Arabic: ولاية المهدية) is one of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. It is situated in central-eastern Tunisia. It covers an area of 2,966 km² and has a population of 410,812 (2014 census).[1] The capital is Mahdia.
