Magical Girl Apocalypse, known in Japan as Mahou Shoujo of The End (魔法少女・オブ・ジ・エンド , lit. Magical Girl of The End), is an ongoing Japanese action-horror magical girl shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Kentarō Satō. Its chapters are serialized since July 2012 in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion, published by Akita Shoten and have been compiled into eight tankōbon. It will be published in English in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.[1]

Characters

Kii Kogami (児上 貴衣 Kogami Kii)
A normal high school freshman, doesn't want to get involved in anything bothersome or build up unneeded stress. His father was an abusive drunk who was always in and out of jail, and his mother commited suicide because she couldn't cope with being abused.
Akuta Rintaro (芥 倫太郎 Rintaro Akuta)
Police. Possesses a pistol. Losing a little of his sanity, he does as he pleases in the apocalyptic world. He has nicked named Yoruka "titty-chan" because she has large breasts.
Tsukune Fukumoto (福本 つくね Fukumoto Tsukune)
Childhood friend of Kogami Kii. Has a connection to the mahou shoujo that are attacking the city.
Sayano Kaede (鞘野 楓 Kaede Sayano)
In the same year as Kii. Along with Ootsuki, she cruelly bullied Tsukune. There is a dark reason behind why she bullied Tsukune.She Is in love with Kii, and the hairclip she wears was given to her by Kii when they were children.
Yoruka Hanzawa (半沢 夜華 Hanzawa Yoruka)
Sophomore student.
Kushiro Ren (久代 蓮 Ren Kushiro)
Applying to become a todai student. Aiming to enrol as a medical student, he can perform simple examination and treatment.

Himeji: A mysterious deaf boy in Kii and Tsukunes class at school. There seems to be more than what he shows.

Reception

Anime News Network's Jason Thompson placed the manga at number 5 in a list of "10 Great Zombie Manga".[2]
