Abou-elmagd Ahmed Haroun is the current Chief of Air Defense Staff the Egyptian Air Defense Command. General Haroun was born in Egypt on December 14, 1955. Hegazy studied in the Air Defence College, graduating on April 1, 1977. He served as the radar officer of an SA-6 platoon. Other positions include leading an air defence battalion, leading an air defense brigade, leading an air defence military region, and leading an air defence training course.
