Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, a division of Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, is one of India's fastest growing branded apparel companies and a premium lifestyle player in the retail sector.

History

The company was founded in 1889 as Madura Mills Co. Ltd. and was producing cotton and blended yarns.^[1] In 1974, the Madura Coats Limited was incorporated as a merger of Madura Mills Co., Ltd. A & F Harvey Ltd., and J & P Coats (India) Pvt. Ltd. In 1999, the Aditya Birla Group company bought Madura Fashion & Lifestyle and became the main manufacturer of menswear in India.^[1]
