Madison Saracen is a mountain bike racing team competing in the downhill category. The team is principally sponsored by Saracen, as well Madison, the UK distributor and owner of Saracen, who also provide the team with race kit through Madison Clothing.
The team is managed by ex-Mountain Biking UK rider and team manager, Will Longden.[1]
2013
Sam Dale was announced as the latest addition to the team in January 2013. Manon Carpenter, Harry Molloy and Phil Atwill all remain on the team. [2]
2012
Manon Carpenter took second place in her first race in the Elite Women's category in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
Manon ended the season by claiming third place at the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships in Leogang, Austria.[3]
Both Phil Atwill and Manon Carpenter took their respective titles in the British Downhill Series.
2011
The team was announced at the Madison tradeshow, iceBike*, held at the firms Milton Keynes dsitribution centre in February 2011.[4]
The teams debut season saw Manon Carpenter win the Junior World Cup Series, as well as the World Championships.[5]
Phil Atwill also won the UK National title in the Youth category during the 2011 season.
