The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), headquartered at Indore, India, is the governing body of cricket activities in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. The board was formed in 1940 as Holkar Cricket Association.
It is affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. This association was earlier known as Holkar Cricket Association.
History
Cricket administrators like the late AW Kanmadikar, former BCCI secretary and vice president, and the late Madhav Rao Scindia former president of BCCI and Sanjay Jagdale was presently joint secretary of BCCI hails from this association. This association is one of the few cricket associations affiliated with the BCCI where all the elections for all the posts so far have been unopposed.
The current president of this association is Jyotiraditya Scindia, a union minister of state, and the secretary is Narendra Menon.
Formerly this post was held by Sanjay Jagdale. For the first time in the history of this association, an election was held in 2010. Jyotirditya Scindia and his team were elected by a wide margin. Scindia(JR) defeated Kailash Vijayvargiya industry minister of the state by more than 70 votes out of total 216.
Others elected were Dr. MK Bhargav as Chairman, Vijay Nayudu, Bhagwandas Suthar and Shravan Gupta as Vice President, Vasu Gangwani Treasurer.
MPCA has now state of art cricket stadium at Indore which is named as Holkar Cricket Stadium. MPCA also takes pride in organizing many international matches. Already three ODIs have been organised at the newly built Holkar stadium.
MPCA successfully hosted IPL 4 matches, after Kochi Tuskers decided to have two home matches at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore on 13 and 15 May 2011.
Sachin Tendulkar scored his ten thousandth run during the ODI played at Nehru Stadium, Indore against Australia cricket team in 2001. He became the first male cricketer to score a double century in an ODI against South Africa at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in 2010.
In 2011, Virender Sehwag scored 219 runs in an ODI against West Indies cricket team at Holkar Cricket Stadium.

Sanjay Jagdale MPCA Academy
In 2008, the MPCA established cricket academy in at Holkar Stadium in India with sub-academies in Gwalior, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Rewa and Jabalpur. The academy was named after Sanjay Jagdale The academy provides regular cricket coaching, systematic fitness management, specific nutrition, regular health check up and purposeful recreation along with the education to the potentially talented young cricketers.
