Madhubala — Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is an Indian television series that was produced to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema. It aired on Colors TV Monday through Saturday evenings. The male lead was played by Vivian Dsena and the female main lead was played by Drashti Dhami. The show premiered on 28 May 2012 and ran through until 9 August 2014.
Plot synopsis
Madhubala is the story of Madhubala who was born on a film set. While working as a beautician to fund her family she encounters Bollywood superstar Rishab Kundra (RK). The encounter eventually leads to a contract marriage. Madhubala encounters quite a lot of struggles post the marriage, but does eventually fall in love with RK genuinely. On the other hand RK was pretending to love her and walks out on her. This sets the wheels for a revenge game but the couple reconciles and the Rishbala (as named by the fans) are married. Later she becomes the heroine opposite RK in "Ishq" a movie produced by RK. The movie ends up being a huge success and places Madhubala in the limelight. RK lashes out on Madhubala. Madhubala loses her baby thereafter due to stress inflicted by RK and family. Eventually Madhubala does give birth to a daughter who is also born on the film set and she is also named Madhubala. However in an explosion everyone perishes except for baby Madhubala and RK's mother.
The story then takes a time leap and follows the journey of baby Madhubala. The younger madhubala grows up in Mathura and has a huge crush on Abhay Kumar , rival of rk. She gets PA post when she goes to Mumbai for searching job due to her grandma's illness.she was fired from her job and takes care of abhay' s grandma. Later they both fall in love and abhay proposes. After he comes to know that she is daughter of rk and madhubala. He gets angry and he decides to take revenge.on abhay' s and madhu' s wedding he puts raja a look a like of RK. Raja and Madhubala get married. Madhubala on her wedding night gets to know that Raja is mentally challenged. Later, Madhubala accepts Raja as her husband and soon Raja recovers. Raja takes Madhubala to his village and asks her to co-operate with his family. After several twists and turns in RajBala's (as named by their fans) story after they are offered a movie on madhubala's story. The show comes towards a happy ending.

The theme song "Hum Hai Deewane" and "Ishq Tu Hi Hai Mera" was composed by Shalin Sharma, while "Ishq Hai" was composed by Saurabh Kalsi. The songs were sung by Arijit Singh, Komal Rizvi and Saurabh Kalsi, the lyrics were done by Veebha Tiwari. Other type of musics and backgrounds were composed by Ashish Rego.
