Madan (Bengali: মদন) is an Upazila of Netrokona District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Geography
Madan is located at 24°43′00″N 90°58′00″E / 24.7167°N 90.9667°E . It has 21808 units of house hold and total area 225.85 km².
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Madan has a population of 117613. Males constitute 50.99% of the population, and females 49.01%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 58127. Madan has an average literacy rate of 18.7% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]

Madan has 1 Pourashava, 8 Unions/Wards, 95 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 120 villages.
Personality
- Late Md Aklasur Rahman
Md Aklasur Rahman son of Late Suruz Ali Talukder alias Iman Ali Sheikh was born Sariabari of Jawla village. He was only one freedom fighter in the village. He took a short training in India. He took part in Madan Fight, Atpara Fight and several fight of Mymensingh, Kishoregonj, Jamalpur and Netrokona area. He was the fighter of Nazrul Company Z-Force. Initially, he was a fighter of 11 Sector. After Liberation war, he joined in different social activities. He established a mosque. There was a remarkable contribution to establish Jawla Bazar and a Library in this bazar. On 28 Oct 2014, he left the world.
