Madalsa Sharma (or Madalasa Sharma) is an Indian model and actress. She has acted in films made in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, German and Punjabi languages.[3]
Early life
Madalasa Sharma was born on 26 September to film producer and director Subhash Sharma and actress Sheela Sharma.[4] After completing her schooling from Marble Arch school, she studied English Literature[1] at the Mithibai College, Mumbai.[5]
She stated that she "always knew that I wanted to be an actor".[6] She joined Kishore Namit Kapoor's institute and took acting lessons and learned dancing under Ganesh Acharya and Shiamak Davar.[4]
Career
Madalasa Sharma made her acting debut in the 2009 Telugu film Fitting Master by E.V.V. Satyanarayana.[7] The next film she signed was K. T. Kunjumon's Tamil film Kadhalukku Maranamillai,[8] which failed to release in theatres. The next year she made her debut in the Kannada film industry with Shourya.[9] Also in 2010 she was seen in another Telugu film Alasyam Amrutham, receiving positive comments for her performance in the film,[10][11] and Thambikku Indha Ooru, her debut Tamil film, which was a critical failure.[12][13]
Her maiden Bollywood film Angel by choreographer Ganesh Acharya[14] released in February 2011 without any hype.[15] Her only release in 2011 was the Telugu film Mem Vayasuku Vacham and her role was well received.[16] The Times of India wrote that she "plays the eye candy very well"[17] and Fullhyd.com wrote that she was "pretty to look at, and very spunky".[18] She then shot for a German film The Girl with the Indian Emerald (de)[19][20] and the Punjabi film Patiala Dreamz which released early 2014.[21]
Later in 2014, her second Hindi film Rajshri Productions' Samrat & Co. released. The film received negative reviews[22][23][24] and was declared a box office flop.[25][26] She had filmed for the Telugu films Feel My Love[27] and Chitram Cheppina Katha, actor Uday Kiran's last film.[28] In April 2014, she had stated that she has been working on three Telugu projects.[6]
