Macrocyttara expressa is a moth in the Cossidae family. It was described by T.P. Lucas in 1902. It is found in Australia,[1] where it has been recorded from southern Queensland.

The wingspan is about 28–30.5 mm for males and 38.5–41.5 mm.[2] The forewings range from grey to brown with a pale diagonal band and a fine black markings.

The larvae bore into Aegiceras corniculatum. Pupation takes place in the tunnel in a cocoon covered in frass.[3]
