Macarostola formosa is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is known from the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and New Zealand.[2]
The larvae feed on Acmena smithii and Eugenia ventenatii. They probably mine the leaves of their host plant.
