MTV Roadies X2 is the twelfth season of Indian reality show MTV Roadies.^[2] The show was hosted by Bani. It started airing on MTV India from January 25, 2015.^[3]

Format

Auditions were held in major cities of India. Aspirants are first divided into groups and after a carefully administered group discussion, the participants were cut down to a few who faced the judges in personal interviews. The new format was adopted by the head of programing of MTV India Vikas Gupta that included four judges creating a gang each and picking their members. The concept was largely adopted from The Voice, an American reality television singing competition broadcast on NBC.

The Roadies X2 journey begins from the cultural capital of india, Varanasi. The contestants faced their first group task on the first day. Karan kundra's Gang won this task, thereby immuning anyone member of the gang until their journey upto Nepal and that night while the contestants were enjoying and kidding around, Karan kundra proclaimed the name of the lucky contestant who is going all the way to Nepal and her name is Hussain. Next morning the team faced their second group challenge in which the gang leaders also performed along their gang members. After several vote outs, Aviral still succeeded in maintaining his position in roadies. During the vote out of Ishita (Viijendra's Gang member),she was pretty much sure about aviral's elimination but unfortunately and surprisingly other roadies had voted her out. The next morning in pokhara, roadies faced their instant and surprising vote out in which any two member of any gangs would be directly put under danger zone. The roadies voted out Aviral and Neetu into danger zone. In the danger zone task the voted out roadies had to chose any one roadies to perform task along with them. So Aviral chose gurmeet and neetu chose Ajay as their team partner.The task was about a glance of Gorkha soldiers intense training and the winning team would won a ZMR Motor bike each.First task was performed by neetu and gurmeet after them aviral and Gurmeet. The task was Won by Neetu and Ajay and they also won ZMR bike along with immunity from another vote out.
