MTV Indonesia was an Indonesian branch of a music television station MTV, parts of MTV Asia. MTV Indonesia aired MTV shows from the USA such as TRL, Fanatic, Diary; Europe, Asia such as Most Wanted, Fresh, Alternative Nation, Asia Hitlist, Land, Rock, Absolute, Fresh, Connect, Wow and Screen with aired for almost 5hours and then new created Global TV broadcasting on 1 April 2002 which later ANteve (now antv) was replaced on Global TV on 13 March 2003 and ready to be aired for 24 hours to relay MTV Asia programme. After Global TV broadcaster started with its own programmes since 15 January 2005, it was running for 12 hours in the television station. Now, MTV Indonesia aired for almost 3 hours, in the afternoon at 13:30 pm – 14:00 pm and in the morning starting at 05:00 am – 06:00 am, every Monday to Friday. At the weekend, MTV Indonesia just aired in the morning.
However, on 31 May 2007, Global TV planned to produce programs on MTV Indonesia with MTV Networks in-house production Global TV. Since then, several programs MTV Indonesia, which is used to program taping now changed the format to be broadcast directly from the Global TV studio. Programs that are now present in the live format, among others events such as grand final MTV VJ Hunt, MTV Indonesia Movie Awards, MTV Indonesia Music Awards, MTV Staying Alive, MTV EXIT who always used to broadcast two weeks after the event was held, can now be broadcast directly by Global TV But now, MTV Ampuh back to taping in Malaysia residents, MTV Indonesia available at MiTV with cable. Now, MTV Indonesia is back again in November 2014 with tagline "1000% anak muda" or "1000% youth", which on air on local television CTV networks in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Makassar, Banjarmasin with on airs taping on 4pm to 6pm and 10pm to 12am.
