The MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya Line (MRT SSP Line) is a planned Mass Rapid Transit line for Klang Valley MRT and was being contemplated as said by Dato' Sri Idris Jala, CEO of PEMANDU. [1] [2] [3] It is one of three more rail systems to be built by 2020. Together, the three will extend the MRT network track to 150 km by 2020. MRT Line 2 has a completion date of 2021 for phase 1 between Sungai Buloh and Kampung Batu and 2022 for phase 2 between Kampung Batu and Putrajaya. MRT Corp’s three-month Railway Scheme Public Display is expected to start in mid-May at 24 locations across the city. [4]

History

The 2nd MRT line is now planned to be from Sungai Buloh, Selayang to Pandan; [5] instead of from Kuala Lumpur to Port Klang.[6] [7][8] MRT 2 from Sungai Buluh to Putrajaya has been approved by the Federal government. [9] The project was allocated RM23 billion in the Budget 2015.[10]

During a briefing of the 1st MRT line, MRT CEO has reveals more details about the 2nd line. He had said that the line will be 59.5km long with 49.3km will be elevated and 10.2km will be underground. There will be 40 stations where 31 will be elevated and 9 will be underground. Construction is expected to begin by November 2015 will approval and public discussion starts in early 2015.[11][12]

The alignment south of Tun Razak Exchange was then altered drastically to provide connectivity with the proposed High Speed Rail project. With this revision, the line stands at 52.2km long with a total of 36 stations. Of these, 11 are underground while 25 are elevated.

Stations

Under the initial proposal during the public display period, 36 stations are proposed along 52.2km of track. [13]

The stations listed below are as displayed on the government website for the draft environmental impact assessment.[14] All the station names are interim and subject to change.
