MRC Global is a global distributor of pipes, valves and fittings headquartered in Houston, Texas. It was founded in 2007 as a merger of the McJunkin Corporation, founded a century before in West Virginia, and Red Man Pipe and Supply, founded in Oklahoma in 2007. The merger was completed with the help of Goldman Sachs.[2] As of 2014, the company is a member of the Fortune 500.[3]
