MBLAQ's Hello Baby is the fifth season of South Korean reality show Hello Baby. It stars boy band MBLAQ as fathers of three multi-cultural children, Dayoung (Vietnamese-Korean), Lauren (Korean-Canadian) and Leo (French-Korean).
Concept
On January 12, 2012, a video preview for the new season showed MBLAQ talking about their wonderful first impressions of their children. The happy mood quickly changed, however, as the members expressed the difficulties of becoming a father.[1] The season aired on January 19, 2012 in KBS Joy and ended on April 5, 2012 with a total of 12 Episodes.
Like other seasons of Hello Baby, MBLAQ must fulfill the task as parents to meet the needs of their kids.
Cast
Fathers
- Seungho: Born October 16, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. He was dubbed as the most likely to be a good father among the five members of MBLAQ. He found Lauren during the first episode and was known to always treat her like a princess.[2]
- G.O: Born November 6, 1987 in Changwon, South Korea. He is also known as the mother. He found Dayoung and has been her favourite father during most of the episodes.[3]
- Lee Joon: Born February 7, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. Along with Mir, he did not find any of the babies on the first episode. He usually had small fights with Leo in the beginning of the season. Alongside with Mir, Joon was also voted as the worst father, but was chosen as one of the best in the final episodes.
- Thunder: Born October 7, 1990 in Busan, South Korea. He found Leo on the first episode. He is known as the father who spoils his children. In the beginning, he had an awkward time trying to communicate with the children but was later seen to easily grab their attention, especially Leo's.
- Mir: Born March 10, 1991 in Jangseong, South Korea. Along with Lee Joon, he didn't find any of the babies and is also known as a toddler because of his childish personality. He captured the hearts of the babies in the end. In the beginning he was voted as the worst father along with Joon, but was later liked by the kids.[4]
Kids
- Yoon DaYoung: Born March 17, 2008 in Seoul, South Korea. She was found by G.O on the first episode. Her father is Korean while her mother is Vietnamese. She is known to be the most quiet among the three kids but is later revealed to be loud.
- Lauren Hanna Lunde: Born May 16, 2008 in Seoul, South Korea. She was found by Seungho on the first episode. Her mother is Korean while her father is Canadian. She is very loyal to Seungho and is also very fond of beautiful things.
- Recipon William Leo: Born September 7, 2008 in Seoul, South Korea. He was found by Thunder on the first episode. He favoured and was also favoured by Thunder during the season. His father is French while his mother is Korean.

| 1 | MBLAQ had a mission of finding the three multi-cultural babies that they will take care of. They were given clues such as the baby's eyes, nose and lips. They had to search for them in a crowded place with lots of children. G.O found Dayoung first, followed by Seungho who found Lauren and lastly Leo who was found by Thunder. |
| 2 | Dayoung, Lauren and Leo set off to their fathers' dorm to wake them up. They settled in together before going to a water park, in which Dayoung felt jealously between Lauren and G.O. |
| 3 | The fathers and their babies transferred to their own house. Leo cried after Lee Joon punished him for hitting him. The real mothers of the kids gave a list of foods they ate, in which MBLAQ tried to cook for them. Dayoung didn't want to eat at that time and Mir made her turn around from the table, which caused Dayoung to cry.[5] |
| 4 | MBLAQ went to a child expert (with their babies) to know more about children. With Dayoung opening up for the first time, the kids' favorite fathers were revealed. Mir and G.O apologized to her and she easily forgave them. Later on, they went to a temple. |
| 5 | The continuation in the temple was shown, followed by Lee Joon having an alone time with the kids. Later, MBLAQ decided to have their own musical. They went to a musical expert to learn more about it. |
| 6 | This episode started outside in the streets with Mir, Lee Joon and the three kids. The kids were asked to pick one father and the two girls ended up picking Lee Joon, while Leo chose Mir. Throughout the episode, Mir and Lee Joon were given the chance to capture the hearts of the children. The three children ended up choosing Mir in the end. When they went home, the members announced that they needed a mother. |
| 7 | The fathers and their babies were prepared for meeting their mothers. They held an audition and watched silently in a room how the mothers took care of the children. In the end, they voted for one mother. |
| 8 | They had a mini concert in front of the mothers, followed by the next day inside their house. The mother they chose and Lee Joon's mother visited them. |
| 9 | Seungho wasn't present in this episode due to his back injury. The rest of the members and the babies prepared for their musical. The children watched MBLAQ's live performance on Music Bank. Later on, MBLAQ recorded the Bibimbap Song. |
| 10 | Throughout the whole episode, MBLAQ and the babies played together at the zoo and the amusement park. |
| 11 | MBLAQ, along with Leo and Lauren, were prepared for Dayoung's special surprise birthday party. Leo and Mir went out to buy the ingrediets while Lee Joon and G.O were left in their house to prepare. Thunder went out with Dayoung to pass the time. G.O cooked Vietnamese food for the party. Seungho recovered from his back injury and met with the babies, in order to record their parts for the Bibimbap Song [6] |
| 12 | They rehearsed for the musical one more time before they performed.[7] The three babies made a special tribute for their fathers. Later on, they spent time together on a small cruise. MBLAQ wrote their messages for the kids on paper lanterns before they said their goodbyes. |
