The M6 motorway is a north-south motorway in Hungary running along the Danube connecting Budapest to the seat of Baranya county Pécs, and further south to the Croatian border.
Construction progress:
- On 11 June 2006 its first 58 km section between Érd and Dunaújváros was opened to the public.
- On 22 September 2008, 11 more km were opened to the public as Érd was connected to M0 (the orbital motorway of Budapest).
- The following two sections were completed 31 March 2010:
- In addition, the M60 from Bóly to Pécs (30 km) was also completed 31 March 2010.
The southernmost Bóly - Ivándárda (border crossing with Croatia) section will be built last, at the same time as the connecting segment of the A5 in Croatia.
