The Ruddy Copper (Lycaena rubidus) is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the western mountains of North America.[2]

The wingspan is 28–32 mm. Adults are on wing from mid-July to early August.[2]

The larvae feed on Rumex hymenosepalus, Rumex triangularis, and Rumex venosus.[1][2]
