Luwagga William Kizito (born 20 December 1993), is a Ugandan professional footballer.
Club career
Born in the district of Wakiso, Kizito began his football career with local club Vipers S.C. in 2009, at the age of 15. His first professional season with Vipers would see his side win the Ugandan Super League in 2010, for the first time in the club's history. He would remain with the club for a further two seasons.
In the summer of 2012, Kizito signed for Portuguese second division side Leixões. Kizito would become the first Ugandan player to apply his trade in Portugal. He made his debut for the Matosinhos club on the 16 September against Leça in a Taça de Portugal second round tie. He would mark his debut with a goal which helped his side defeat the opposition 4–1.[1] He would follow up his debut with goals in the Taça da Liga and Segunda Liga, against Vitória de Setúbal and Braga B.[2][3] His goal scoring form in the league would continue in the next several games with goals against Naval in domestic league action.[4]
His impressive goal scoring form would see Kizito attract interest from Porto.[5] Following his fine goal scoring displays, Kizito would suffer a goal scoring drought as he would only manage to score two goals from October to the end of the season.[6][7] Despite the drop in his goal scoring form, he would help his side finish third in the league, five points short of Arouca who would finish second and be promoted to the top flight.[8] His first season with Leixões would see him make 30 appearances and score seven goals.[9]
On the 4 January 2014, Kizito signed for S.C. Covilhã.[10]
International career
Kizito would receive his first call up to the Ugandan national side in 2012.[11]
