Luke Shuey (born 2 June 1990) is an Australian rules footballer currently listed with the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Career

Shuey was selected by West Coast with the 18th (priority) pick in the 2008 AFL Draft. Luke had played all his junior football with Bulleen Templestowe (The Bullants) and Marcellin College after which he was selected to play with the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup, during which he was then selected to represent Vic Metro in the 2008 National Championships (having also won the team's best and fairest).[1] He completed Year 12 in 2008 at Marcellin College. Shortly after being drafted his sister was killed in a motorcycle accident.[2] Shuey kicked his first goal with his first kick in AFL football, against the Brisbane Lions on 27 March 2010. Shuey received the Rising star nomination for Round 2 2011 after a 27 disposals and three goals against Port.[3] He finished the year runner-up Rising Star, losing to Dyson Heppell by 7 votes.
