Ludvig Ludvigsen Daae

Ludvig Ludvigsen Daae (7 December 1834 – 17 March 1910) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Aremark and died in Kristiania.

Daae was assigned as a professor at the University of Kristiania for more than thirty years, from 1876 to 1910. He published a large number of scientific works, and was also a frequent contributor to newspapers. In 1899 he published an edition of Claus Pavels '​s diaries from the period 1817 to 1822. He was decorated Commander, Second Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1905. He was a Knight of the Danish Order of Dannebrog and of the Swedish Order of the Polar Star.[1][2]
