Ludmila Dayer Schuller (born June 18, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian actress.[1]

Biography

Dayer began acting at the age of 10 in the film Carlota Joaquina – Princesa do Brasil, released in 1995. In 1994, she was discovered in a Spanish dance class, and was cast as the child version of title character Carlota Joaquina of Portugal. Director Carla Camurati then decided to also put Dayer as the English girl who hears the story of Carlota as a framing device.[2]

Her first job in television was in a Rede Manchete telenovela, Xica da Silva. She then went to Brazil's biggest network, Rede Globo, where Dayer played the lead character in the 2000 season of teen soap Malhação. Dayer then rose to fame in the 2004 soap Senhora do Destino, where she played Danielle Meira, nicknamed "baby nymph" by her boyfriend Giovanni Improtta (José Wilker). That same year, she protagonized the film Vida de Menina, based on the diaries of Helena Morley.

After the 2005 SBT soap opera Os Ricos Também Choram, Dayer moved to Los Angeles seeking a film career. Her next work in Brazil happened only in 2013, to work in the sitcom Louco por Elas.[3]
