Lucania is a genus of North American ray-finned killifishes in the family Fundulidae. It can be found in northeastern Mexico and the southeastern and eastern parts of the United States. The size of adult specimens range from 2.9 to 6.0 centimetres (1.1 to 2.4 inches). All species are oviparous and live in fresh water. They can be held in aquariums, but some of the species are difficult to maintain and breed in captivity.[1][2][3]
