Lu Hao (born 1967)

Not to be confused with Lu Hao (born 1947).
This is a Chinese name; the family name is Lu.

Lu Hao (Chinese: 陆昊; pinyin: Lù Hào; born June 1967) is a Chinese politician currently serving as the Governor of Heilongjiang Province. He was appointed acting governor of Heilongjiang Province on March 25, 2013, replacing Wang Xiankui, who had been promoted to Heilongjiang party chief. Lu was then elected as governor on June 5, 2013, during the second session of the 12th Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress. He is the youngest provincial governor in China.[1]

Lu is the youngest member of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He served as the first secretary of the Communist Youth League of China from 2008-2013. He is also the president of the China Youth University for Political Sciences.

Some observers have speculated that Lu is likely to become one of the core Chinese leadership in coming years, possibly ascending to the Politburo of the Communist Party of China at the 19th Party Congress in 2017 and the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China at the 20th Party Congress in 2022.[2]
