Luís Rómulo de Castro commonly known as Rómulo (born 9 December 1987) is a is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Al-Tali'aa SC in Oman First Division League.[1]
Club career
Brazil
Rómulo began his professional career in Brazil with his parent club Goiás in 2007. In his two-year spell at the Goiânia-based club, he helped the club to win the 2009 Campeonato Goiano.
In 2009, he moved to Rondonópolis where he signed a six-month contract with União Esporte Clube. In the same year, he then moved to Mooca where he signed a six-month contract with Clube Atlético Juventus.
In 2010, he moved to Umuarama and signed a six-month contract with Umuarama Futebol Clube. In the same year, he moved to Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro and signed a six-month contract with Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube. He moved back to Mooca and signed a six-month contract with his former club Juventus.
In 2011, he moved to Goianésia and signed a six-month contract with Goianésia Esporte Clube. He made his only appearance for the club on 27 March 2011 in a 3-0 win over Clube Recreativo e Atlético Catalano in the 2011 Campeonato Goiano.[2]
El Salvador
He first moved out of Brazil in 2011 to El Salvador where he signed a six-month contract with Salvadoran Primera División club Águila. He made his debut for the San Miguel-based club on 19 September 2011 in a 2-2 draw against C.D. Vista Hermosa in the Primera División de Fútbol Profesional – Apertura 2011.[3] He made 11 appearances for the San Miguel-based club.
Malta
In 2012, he moved to Europe and more accurately to Malta where he signed a one-year contract with Maltese Premier League club Tarxien Rainbows. He made his debut for the Tarxien-based club on 3 March 2012 in a 1-0 loss against Balzan F.C.[4] and scored his first goal on 16 April 2012 in a 5-0 win over Mqabba F.C.[5] In his two-year spell at the Tarxien-based club, he made 21 appearances and scored 2 goals.
United Arab Emirates
In 2013, he moved to the Middle East and more accurately to the United Arab Emirates where he signed a one-year contract with UAE Division 1 club Dibba Al-Hisn.
Oman
In August 2014, he moved to another Middle Eastern country and this time to Oman and on 15 September 2014 he signed a one-year contract with Al-Tali'aa SC of Oman First Division League.
