Racing career

2014: two-year-old season

Lovely Maria won on her racecourse debut at Delaware Park and finished second in her next two races before running fourth in the Trapeze Stakes at Remington Park in December.

2015: three-year-old season

Lovely Maria won a minor race on her three-year-old debut and then finished second to I'm A Chatterbox in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes. The filly recorded her first major success at Keeneland Racecourse on April 4 when she won the Grade I Ashland Stakes, beating Angela Renee by three and a quarter lengths. On May 1 Lovely Maria won the Kentucky Oaks.[2]
