Love Is Blue is the 28th original studio album released by singer Johnny Mathis. It was his second album upon returning to Columbia Records after a four year sojourn with Mercury Records. He would continue to record for Columbia from this point in his career onwards.

Overview

The album continues in the same vein as Mathis' previous album with Columbia Records incorporating cover versions of contemporary song hits and movie themes. Indeed, it contains an unusually high quota of covers of songs that had been huge hits for other artists. As with his previous album, this set was scored by Robert Mersey.
