Louze, Pakistan

Louze, also spelt Loas, is located near district headquarters of Astore. It is famous for its Apple Orchards, Hydroelectric power station supplying power to most parts of Astore. It is a small picturesque village of Astore District. It remained home to many doctors and learned people of Northern Areas Gilgit, Pakistan, includes Muhammad Ashraf Khan who established the Pakistan China border trade organization (NATCL) and Karakoram bank, Dr. Rasheed Ahmad, Late Col Tariq Ashraf, Dr. Huma Ashraf,Dr.Parveen Ashraf,Dr.Maryam Khursheed,Mehboob Ali Khan Ex.
