Louisiana State Route 93 (LA 93) was one of the 98 original state highways that were established in 1921. It ran in an east to west direction for 16.8 miles (27.0 km), spanning from Erwinville to New Roads.
Route description
Beginning at New Roads, at the intersection of Main Street and the New Roads Lane, through Oscar to the Bayou Poydras Lane, thence to the West Baton Rouge line on Bayou Poydras. - 1924 Louisiana Legislative Route Description
LA 93 was established as the east path of LA 30, in the same manner that LA 94 followed Lake Providence along the opposite side than LA 3. LA 93 began at an intersection with LA 73 north of US 190, although LA 93 is shown on some maps as extending south to meet US 190.
LA 93 followed the current LA 413 to the southern end of False River, turning toward New Roads and following the curvature of the lake. It then entered New Roads, ending at an intersection with LA 30.
