Route description
LA 982 is a small route, connecting False River to the community of Arbroth. It runs between LA 416 and LA 415.
LA 982 is an undivided, two-lane road for its entire route. Before the 1955 Louisiana Highway renumbering, LA 982 was known as State Route 135. The original route of SR 135 consisted of the current LA 982 and LA 415. SR 135 ended at an intersection with the current LA 620, then signed as SR 30, the precursor to today's LA 1.
