Louisiana Highway 977 is a two-lane undivided highway in Pointe Coupee and Iberville parishes in south Louisiana. Heading southward, it leaves Louisiana Highway 77 near a bend in Bayou Grosse Tete. It then follows the bayou southward, locally designated Valverda Road because of the elementary school of the same name. It crosses the Iberville Parish line into Maringouin. At its second intersection with Louisiana Highway 77, the highway turns to the east and crosses the bridge over Bayou Grosse Tete where it ends at Louisiana Highway 411. It travels a total of 4.70 miles (7.56 km).
