Louisiana Highway 772 (LA 772) is a state highway in Louisiana. It spans 10.7 miles (17.2 km) and runs from LA 8 south of Trout to Old Jena Road east of Routon. LA 772 is two lane, undivided road for its entire length.
Route description
LA 772 begins at an intersection with LA 8 between Eden and Jena. LA 8 travels north for about two miles (2 miles (3.2 km)) until it makes a sharp turn to the east and enters the community of Trout. US 84 enters the road from the north and runs concurrent with LA 772. US 84 and LA 772 travel east into the community of Midway where they intersect LA 778 and LA 3104 at their western and northern termini respectively. US 84 and LA 772 curve southeast as they enter Jena city limits. In downtown Jena, the road intersects LA 127 and LA 8 with the latter route becoming concurrent with US 84 and LA 772 as well. After passing the southern terminus of LA 459, US 84 and LA 8 continue southeast but LA 772 breaks away to continue in a more easterly direction. It leaves Jena and travels in an east-northeast direction through a rural forest. At Pritchard Road in the rural community of Routon, state maintenance and the LA 772 designation end but the road continues east as Old Jena Road.[1]
