Louisiana Highway 3235 (LA 3235) is a state highway located in Lafourche Parish. It spans 16.1 miles (25.9 km) in a south to north direction[1] as a four-lane bypass to LA 1 between Golden Meadow and Larose. It was also the temporary designation for the elevated relocation of LA 1 between Port Fourchon and Leeville, known as the LA 1 Expressway. The gap between Leeville and Golden Meadow is set to be constructed in the future.
Route description
From the south, LA 3235 begins at an intersection with LA 1 just south of Golden Meadow. It proceeds in a northwest direction through Galliano and Cut Off with LA 3162 and LA 3161 connecting to the parallel LA 1 at those points. LA 3235 enters Larose and intersects LA 657 which also connects with LA 1 and will continue across Bayou Lafourche once its bridge is completed. LA 3235 reaches its northern terminus at LA 24 (Bourg-Larose Highway) which heads west to Houma via Bourg.
LA 3235 begins as an undivided, three-lane highway (one lane northbound, two lanes southbound) briefly until crossing into Golden Meadow, where it widens to a divided, four-lane highway for the remainder of its route.
