Louisiana Highway 1240 (LA 1240) is a state highway in Louisiana that serves Grant Parish. It spans 7.51 miles (12.09 km) in a north-to-south direction.
Route description
From the south, LA 1240 starts at an intersection with US 71 near Nantachie Lake, between Colfax and Montgomery. It travels in a northern direction, passing through hills and forest. It ends at an intersection with LA 122, which if taken east will meet LA 471.
LA 122 is an undivided, two-lane highway for its entire length. Before the 1955 renumbering, LA 1240 was State Route 1432.
