Louisiana Highway 1230 (LA 1230) is a state highway in Louisiana. It spans 7.58 miles (12.20 km), serving Grant Parish.
Route description
LA 1230 begins on the parish line between Grant and Winn parishes. LA 1230 serves as the western terminus for LA 3098 before dipping fully into Grant Parish and heading southeast towards Georgetown.
It crosses LA 3098 once more, except this time, LA 3098 is assuming the original route of US 165. LA 1230 then crosses under US 165 before ending at an intersection with LA 500.
LA 1230 is an undivided, two-lane road for its entire route. Before the 1955 Louisiana Highway renumbering, LA 1230 was known as State Route 619. A portion of LA 1230 between its second junction with LA 3098 and LA 500 is an original piece of US 165. Therefore, LA 1230 was also signed as State Route 14.
